How can businesses harness the benefits of older workers?

Having different generations working together can help them bring out the best in each other

In the aftermath of the Covid lockdowns, the need for older workers seemed obvious. Companies were busily hiring and there was a shortage of young recruits.

Birth rates have collapsed in many countries around the world, prompting warnings there are too few young people to support an ageing population.

To many, one answer was to keep older employees in work for longer, with suggestions of more flexible working hours to assist them.
