Canada’s GDP shrinks more than expected as Donald Trump’s tariffs hit

Economy contracted at 1.6% rate in second quarter as exports to US declined

Canada’s economy shrank more than expected in the second quarter, as President Donald Trump’s tariffs on the country hit exports to the US, its biggest trading partner.
