Germany approves AstraZeneca jab for over-65s

U-turn could help speed up the country’s sluggish Covid-19 vaccination campaign

Germany has decided to approve the Oxford/AstraZeneca Covid-19 jab for people aged 65 and over, in a move that could help speed up the country’s sluggish vaccination campaign.

It made the decision despite the fact that the European Medicines Agency approved its use in all adults.
