New Zealand police said the man arrested over the mosque shootings in Christchurch last month will face 50 murder charges and 39 attempted murder charges.
Brenton Tarrant, a 28-year-old Australian, was charged following the shootings at two Christchurch mosques on March 15 during Friday prayers that killed 50 and injured a further 50. He will appear in court on April 5.
The police statement said other charges were “still under consideration”.
