Huawei has confirmed it is suing the US over its ban on government agencies buying equipment from the Chinese company, as the group stages a fightback against a wave of international pressure over its alleged links to the Chinese government.
Guo Ping, one of the rotating chairmen of the Chinese telecoms giant, told reporters in Shenzhen on Thursday Huawei is seeking a declaratory judgment that restrictions targeting Huawei are unconstitutional, and a permanent injunction against these restrictions.
The US has acted as "judge, jury and executioner" in blocking Huawei, Mr Guo said.
