New York was shaken late on Saturday by an explosion that injured more than two dozen people in what was described as an “intentional act”.
The blast that struck Manhattan’s Chelsea neighbourhood left 29 injured, one seriously, New York Police Department commissioner James O’Neill said at a press conference.
The event came just hours after pipe bomb exploded in a seaside neighborhood in neighbouring New Jersey where no injuries were reported.
