Inflation is the single biggest concern for investors, particularly those in Brazil and China, according to a global poll of 4,320 fund buyers.
The survey, conducted by US asset manager Legg Mason, found that almost half of respondents said an increase in prices was the greatest threat to the progress of their investments, by far the largest fear outlined in the poll.
Matt Schiffman, head of global marketing at Legg Mason, said: “While there are a lot of threats out there, it is clear that inflation – particularly for Latin American and Asian investors – is the biggest concern.”
