When Huawei announced the settlement of its intellectual property disputes with Motorola Solutions on Wednesday, company executives were triumphant.
As part of a broader mutual agreement, Motorola also dropped its allegations that the Chinese telecommunications network equipment maker had stolen some of its trade secrets.
“This is a very clear, comprehensive vindication of our brand and our legal claims,” said Bill Plummer, spokesman for Huawei’s US unit. “It puts an end to the unwarranted speculation about the integrity of our business practices.”
