Julian Assange walked out of custody on Thursday night after winning an appeal against being held in detention pending a hearing on allegations of sexual offences in Sweden.
To the sound of the shouts of supporters on the steps of the court, Mr Assange said he hoped to “continue my work and continue to protesr my innocence in this matter.”
He will spend Christmas in a country mansion instead of a London prison cell, after the UK’s High Court ruled in favour of the WikiLeaks founder.
