People familiar with the situation said that, barring any late developments, KKR would this month unveil a $100m investment in Mengniu Modern Farm, a mid-sized domestic producer based in Anhui province, eastern China.
“The deal is not finalised but it shouldn't take too much longer,” said one person familiar with the talks.
KKR declined to comment.
