Microsoft and Nvidia are set to invest up to $15bn in Anthropic, in the latest deal that ties together the biggest groups in the artificial intelligence sector.
The San Francisco-based AI start-up said on Tuesday that it had committed to purchase $30bn in computing capacity from Microsoft, whose data centres will use Nvidia’s AI chips.
As part of the deal, Microsoft and Nvidia will invest up to $5bn and $10bn in Anthropic, respectively.
