Israel said it would halt strikes on Gaza after killing more than 100 Palestinians overnight in response to what it said were Hamas violations of the US-brokered ceasefire to end the two-year war.
Palestinian health officials said 104 people were killed after Israel launched 30 strikes in response to the killing of a soldier on Tuesday in the half of Gaza still under its control.
