Tylenol maker Kenvue’s shares fell on Monday after reports US President Donald Trump plans to link use of the drug by pregnant women to a risk of autism.
Kenvue shares were down about 7 per cent in midday trading, following US media reports about what Trump will say when he makes an announcement about medical findings regarding American children’s health on Monday afternoon.
Speaking at memorial fro conservative activist Charlie Kirk on Sunday, the president told crowds he thinks “we found an answer to autism”. Asked by reporters whether he plans to tie Tylenol to autism, he said: “You’re going to see tomorrow . . . but I think it’s a very big factor.”
