Trump and Murdoch, kings of shamelessness

The US president has one thing in common with the media mogul

You can say one thing about Jeffrey Epstein’s friends: they weren’t exactly discreet. In the book that Ghislaine Maxwell collated for his 50th birthday, there are crude messages and explicit drawings.

There’s even a poem, attributed to art collector Stuart Pivar, that ends: “Jeffrey at half a century / with credentials plenipotentiary, / though up to no good / whenever he could, / has avoided the penitentiary.” Life lesson: if you find yourself wishing someone happy birthday while musing how they’ve avoided jail, maybe skip the first part?

On the next page is a picture apparently signed by Donald Trump. It has the outline of a naked woman and ends with the words: “may every day be another wonderful secret.” With friends like this, who needs prosecutors?
