The World Economic Forum has cleared Klaus Schwab of misconduct allegations following an investigation and named BlackRock boss Larry Fink and Roche vice-chair André Hoffmann as interim chairs of its board.
The WEF board said an internal investigation had not found any evidence of “material wrongdoing” by Schwab and his wife Hilde following accusations raised by whistleblowers.
The conclusion of the inquiry and decision to name new leaders to its board comes as the WEF seeks to turn the page on a tumultuous chapter in its history, which saw it grapple with allegations of financial misconduct and a hostile work environment.
