Democrats on Sunday grappled with whether to try to impeach Donald Trump as the president warned that efforts to investigate him in the wake of special prosecutor Robert Mueller’s Russia report would cost them “big time” in the 2020 election.
Mr Trump attacked Democrats over the report by Mr Mueller following his two-year investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 US presidential election and links between the Trump campaign and Russia.
“Despite No Collusion, No Obstruction, The Radical Left Democrats do not want to go on to Legislate for the good of the people, but only to Investigate and waste time. This is costing our Country greatly, and will cost the Dems big time in 2020!” he tweeted.
