A sex and drugs scandal has engulfed South Korea’s K-pop industry after two stars were questioned by police over allegations involving date rape, bribery and explicit videos.
South Korean police are investigating the scandal involving Lee Seung-hyun, a 28-year-old member of Big Bang, better known by his stage name Seungri, and a nightclub where he was a large shareholder.
The boyish pop star, who was labelled South Korea’s “Great Gatsby” for his lavish lifestyle, is suspected of involvement in sexual bribery after he allegedly hired prostitutes for his business investors.
