Imran Khan warns Pakistan would retaliate against Indian attack

Imran Khan warned that Pakistan would immediately respond to an attack by India, as tensions mounted between the countries over a devastating suicide bombing that New Delhi has blamed on a Pakistan-based militant group, Jaish-e-Mohammad.

In his first comments on last week’s terror attack that killed 44 Indian paramilitary police in restive Kashmir province, Pakistan’s prime minister was adamant that Islamabad had nothing to do with the carnage, insisting his country strived for peace and stability.

“It is in our interest that our soil is not used to carry out terrorist attacks in other countries, nor do we want outsiders to come and carry out terror attacks here,” the cricket-star-turned politician said on Tuesday.
