North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has reshuffled the country’s military top brass days ahead of a landmark summit with US president Donald Trump, according to the South Korean government.
The move is being viewed as an attempt to keep the country’s 1m-strong army in check as anticipation grows that a deal is shaping up between Pyongyang, Washington and Seoul.
On Tuesday next week, Mr Kim is set to meet Mr Trump in Singapore for the first summit between leaders of the two countries.
