The Hong Kong Monetary Authority, the banking regulator, has announced that it and affected banks in the territory have activated their business continuity plans to ensure normal banking operations on Monday amid ongoing pro-democracy protests.
The HKMA said that Hong Kong interbank markets, as well as payment and settlement systems, will function normally.
