Chinese equities tumbled to their worst losses for four months amid signs that Beijing’s moves to tighten monetary policy could be starting to restrain economic growth.
The concerns spiked after a measure of Chinese manufacturing eased to its lowest level since July 2010.
The Shanghai Composite registered losses for the third consecutive session, down 2.9 per cent to 2,774.57.
