Asian stocks climbed to seven-month highs yesterday as overnight gains in the US and Europe injected a renewed sense of confidence into the region.
The FTSE Asia-Pacific index gained 2.4 per cent to 188.07.
In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng index closed 3.1 per cent higher at 17,544.03 and the main sub-index of mainland Chinese stocks, or H shares, gained 2.9 per cent to 10,072.51 points.
