Porsche has lined up former McLaren chief executive Michael Leiters to take over from Oliver Blume, who is under pressure for his dual role as head of the German sports-car maker and its owner, Volkswagen Group.
Porsche said on Friday it would open talks with Blume about the early termination of his contract as chief, following media reports.
Leiters, who left McLaren in April and had previously spent more than a decade at Porsche, was “available as a potential successor”, the company said.
